Freedom of Conscience and Religion

     Freedom of Conscience and Religion.

Introduction of the Canada charter of Right and Freedom.

There are 4 Fundamental Freedom.  They  are...

  • Freedom of conscience and religion.
  • Freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press nad other media of communication
  • Freedom of peaceful assembly
  • Freedom of association

I choose Freedom of conscience and religion.

I think it is most interesting freedom. It means a person can practice any religion he/she wants. Freedom of conscience means people can express their ideas and practice their culture. Because I have freedom of conscience, I can enjoy Valentine's Day and Halloween which are Canadian customs as well as enjoying Children's Day and Ancestor's Day, which are Korean customs. At school I can tell people all about Korea and no one can punish me. Society develops more when people can discuss their ideas.

Freedom of religion is important to me because I can go to church whenever I want to. And I have friends at church that I can play with. Also I can talk about my church to other people

If these freedom were taken a way, life would change. I would not be allowed to pratice my religion so I would have to choose whether to give up my religion or practice my religion secretly. That would be dangerous. I think I would lose my Korean culture and customs also I wouldn't learn any other country's customs or culture. I don't think society would change very much because there would be no sharing of ideas.

                                                                        Conclusion

I think I'm really lucky that I have own freedom and rights unlike the North Korean. But it would be sucks a lot if there wasn't any freedom and rights in the world, then we can't share any ideas and we can't practice any religion, also, we can't practice, learn cultures  and  customs.
